Torn & Frayed
Difficult mother and daughter relationships can be complex and multi-faceted. Sometimes, our relationships with our mothers are rooted in control, resentment, unresolved conflict, conflicting personalty types, and often times, unacknowledged trauma, relationship hurts, and even undiagnosed mental health concerns. All of these things can be incredibly difficult to navigate on your own. The emotional ties between a mother and daughter can be incredibly strong, yet it is these same ties that can often lead to clashes and tension. As a daughter, sometimes it can be difficult to manage a strained relationship with your mother. Sometimes, you are navigating no longer having your mother in your life and the emotional consequences that come with that. A difficult mother and daughter relationship can be a source of pain, anxiety, ager, frustration, and fear that seem to find their way other parts of our lives and relationships. You don't have to do this alone. Find support, healing, and understanding in a group of daughters who understand what you're going through and who can support you on your journey.
